Jim Funk is the founder, owner and principle engineer for Energize, LLC.  Jim first studied renewable energy technology nearly 20 years ago while working to earn his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).  MSOE is known and respected by technology businesses across the United States.

His first interest was Photovoltaics (PV), or solar electric cells, where Jim learned about what makes a PV cell work on the inside, the physics of this semiconductor device.  He continued to study and work with PV cells and modules, while accumulating extensive experience in electrical and electronic design, manufacturing, project management and customer service.

After significant planning, in 2002 this renewable energy work was organized into a business, and Energize, LLC was formed, located in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

Jim has training and experience with both photovoltaic and wind systems, as well as certification for performing both wind and PV site assessments through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), with support from the Focus on Energy Program.

We utilize highly qualified technical resources as partners to meet our customers' needs for reliable, clean, renewable electrical energy systems.  These resources include well known and respected firms that provide professional licensed electrician's, excavating and crane operations.  We are proud to have been recognized as the 2006 Focus on Energy Market Provider of the Year!
