Jim first studied renewable energy technologynearly 20 years ago while working to earn his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).His first interest was photovoltaic (PV) or solar electric cells, where Jim learned about what makes a PV cell work on the inside. He continued to study and work with PV technology, while accumulating extensive experience in his professional career in electrical and electronic design, project management and customer service, manufacturing, materials and operations management. In addition to this experience, Jim has strengthened his knowledge and credentials via graduate studies in engineering/management.

In 2002 Energize, LLC was formed and located in Winneconne, Wisconsin. Jim hastraining and experiencewith both wind and solar electric systems, and with his listing as actively pursuing NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners), our customers benefit and qualify for the highest level of Focus on Energy incentives. He is also certified for performingboth wind and PV siteassessments through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), and is one of just two in the state that have been selected by Focus on Energy to perform commercial site assessments for both wind and solar electric systems. Jim also increases knowledge and awareness, and promotes the use of renewable energy through workshops and presentations across the state, including the current workshop series offered by We Energies.
