Energize, LLC recognized for help in reaching 2.5 megawatts (MW) of solar power in Wisconsin
Focus on Energy, Wisconsin’s program that promotes energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy, on September 22, 2009 recognized “Jim Funk and Energize, LLC for commitment and dedication to a clean energy future. Energize, LLC has installed high-quality solar electric systems that helped Focus on Energy reach 2.5 megawatts of solar power in Wisconsin.” The event was held at the Town of Menasha municipal complex, the site of a recently completed 28kW solar electric system, the largest system in the Fox Valley area. The Town, along with the Navarino Nature Center, were recognized for helping reach this milestone. The nature center’s 14.7kW system was also installed by Energize, LLC, and is part of a major addition that the nature center constructed at their site in Navarino, just north of Shiocton. We’re happy to have helped these and all of our customers, that all made this 2.5MW milestone happen.
Energize, LLC commissions largest solar electric system funded by Focus on Energy
A 47.355kW DC, 50kW AC rated inverter solar electric system was commissioned on September 4th, 2009 in Sun Prairie, WI. This system is on the flat roof of a grocery store, and is the largest system funded in part by the Focus on Energy program to date. We’re proud to have been chosen to design, provide and install this system, which demonstrates the commercial viability of this technology in WI.
1.8KW PV system offsets energy use at Energize, LLC office
Our 1.8KW PV system was commissioned in October 2006 to offset the energy use of our office in Winneconne. The system utilizes "net-metering" to spin the utility meter backwards, "banking" extra energy generated on sunny days for use when needed. Financial benefits increase every time a rate increase comes through!
New Solar Parking Canopy System Commissioned in Appleton, WI
Something new is on the northeast side of Appleton as of February 2010. If you’re not driving (for safety reasons of course) and look to the north from Hwy 41 just east of the Ballard exit on the westbound side, you might catch a view of it. Check back for more info, or give us a call or email.
